Signs of gum disease
In a regular dental check-up the hygienist will check for signs of periodontal disease using a probe.
Symptoms of the periodontics include:
- Swollen puffy gums
- Bright red or purplish gums
- Receding gums
- Spaces between the teeth
- Loose teeth
- Sensitive teeth
- Bad breath
- Bad taste in your mouth
