Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy mouth

Periodontal disease (gum disease) is a bacterial infections that affects the soft tissue (gums) and can destroy bone leading to tooth loss. Periodontal disease can also have an impact on overall health being linked to cardiovascular problems and diabetes. Periodontal disease is preventable and early detection is key to successful treatment.
